Carol Shupp Sebold, 71, died peacefully June 7, 2010, at her home in Camden. She was born in 1939 in Toledo, Ohio, and was educated there. After graduating from college, she taught high school art in Toledo, Ohio, which is where she also began exhibiting at local and regional art shows. Her children, Robin and Scott were born in Toledo, Ohio.

In 1973, Carol and her family traveled cross-country in their RV discovering mid-coast Maine and settling in Camden. Carol’s watercolors are inspired by the breathtaking scenery of the Maine coast. She captured coastal fishing villages, schooners at rest and the quiet coves. Her love of Maine is reflected and brought to fresh life through her work. Her paintings have been selected for many juried shows and shown in galleries throughout the eastern United States and the Caribbean.
